LESTAC-DCPD is Dicyclopentadiene resinor DCPD resin, the dimer of cyclopentadiene (CPD) formed by a Diels-Alder addition reaction. DCPD petroleum resins are pale yellow thermoplastic resin obtained from mainly polymerizing unsaturated dicyclopentadiene derived from C5 fraction, by- products of petroleum cracking, through pretreatment, thermal polymerization and distillation.
Description:
LESTAC-DCPD100 is Dicyclopentadiene resin or DCPD resin, is the dimer of cyclopentadiene (CPD) formed by a Diels-Alder addition reaction. DCPD petroleum resins are pale yellow thermoplastic resin obtained from mainly polymerizing unsaturated dicyclopentadiene derived from C5 fraction, by- products of petroleum cracking, through pretreatment, thermal polymerization and distillation.
Because the (di-)cyclopentadiene molecule is reactive with many other monomers, it can be used as raw material in the production of resins for a variety of applications. DCPD hydrocarbon resin Grade is generally used in the production of cyclo-aliphatic and C5/C9 aromatic hydrocarbon resins but may also be used in the production of unsaturated polyester resins.
Application:
A, Rubber and Tyre
DCPD petroleum resin can be used as strengthening agent to improve the strength of high-tech rubber and tyre, with high bromine and viscosity, it can prolong the using life of the rubber, it can makes tire low heat power and low hydrogen content.
B, Paint
DCPD hydrocarbon resins have good compatibility with epoxy resin in esters solvents and have good solidifying rate to epoxy resin. DCPD petroleum resin can improve the adhesiveness as well as penetrability of paint to cement and steels, strengthen the wetting property to paint and improve the leveling property of paint film.
C, Printing Ink
DCPD petroleum resin with high softening point and good compatibility can be the addition into printing ink and coating industry to effects of quick dried, Color developing and brightening, effectively improve the printing performance.
